Premier Mark McGowan was in Margaret River on Friday to present a Lotterywest grant to the Margaret River Men's Shed to support the construction and fit-out of the new shed for the community group. A grant of $311,500 is being made available for stage 1 and a further $68,500 as matched funding for money yet to be raised locally for the second stage of the project making a total grant of $380,000.Mens Shed coordinator Terry Hutchings was not able to be present at the presentation and so Rotray Club president Brian Middleton joined with the Mens Shed members to accept the cheque from the premier.
