The Margaret River Rotary Fun Run had been confirmed for this year. Set for Sunday 30 November 2014, the event has been moved back a month from its previously slated date to move it away from conflicting events in a busy shoulder season calendar.

The iconic ‘city to surf’ route will be retained and both the 10km and 4km options will be offered, with boosted finish line festivities this year.
Neil Fox Executive Director, Renard Group, will take on the management of the event on behalf of the club. Neil recently moved over to Margaret River with his family having built up the Sydney Running Festival from a small base to over 30,000 runners.
Sponsorship has been offered by the Shire of Augusta Margaret River and Shire Chief Executive Officer Gary Evershed said he was very pleased the event would be going ahead as it offered tourism benefits to the region. In addition the event was also valuable to the local community as many people used the event to set their fitness goals.
Mr Evershed acknowledged the outstanding efforts and commitment of Rotary in their continued dedication to the event. A significant number of volunteers will be required on the day so why not register as a Friend of Rotary and get involved.
