This Saturday (Nov 5th) members of the club will be loading up 100 chairs and desks from the school and transporting them to Kent Street, Perth as part of the Friends of the Timor Container Project run by the Rotary Club of Hillarys. The desks and chairs along with other donations such as computers and teaching equipment will be packed into sea containers for shipment to East Timor.
 
The Rotary Club of Hillarys now collects donations of badly needed goods from organisations and individuals in Perth, Western Australia, and ships them to Dili, in Timor Leste, where they are distributed to schools, orphanages, hospitals, medical posts.
 

The project currently needs:

- Cash donations for freight costs
- Medical supplies and equipment
- Teachers' classroom resources
- Household linen, metal beds, appliances
- Kitchen cutlery, crockery,
- Building tools, hand tools, power tools
- Gardening implements
- School children's story & text books
- School science lab equipment
- Computing equipment - laptops
- Office furniture and consumables
- Classroom furniture
- Clothing: new and near new
- Sports equipment - ball games, ball pumps
- Musical instruments
- Solar powered shed lights
- Prams, walking frames, bicycles
